StenoCast, Inc. was founded in 2004 with the development of the original StenoCast X1 and StenoCast X7. By the middle of 2005 the new X1-Lithium was released, which quickly became the standard in the industry for wireless communication between any steno machine and any computer. The StenoCast X7 was upgraded to its present state, allowing for seven wireless realtime connections from any CAT software to any litigation-support software, and has also become the standard in the industry, simply and safely providing wireless realtime for thousands of clients.
Because realtime is more common, with more clients requesting this service, in 2009 StenoCast developed the StenoCast RED (Refresh-Enabled Device) to meet this need. The RED provides 14 wireless connections to clients, divided as follows: Seven wireless connections to clients using any or all litigation-support software on the market, plus seven additional wireless connections to clients using Bridge. The RED is compatible with all CAT software and all litigation-support software.
In January 2012 we released the Ez Send. Building on the success of the StenoCast RED, we have implemented several enhancements: Realtime in Reserve (RiR), allowing clients who show up late to instantly receive the entire realtime transcript from its beginning; allowing the reporter to transmit to seven standard connections, plus seven refresh connections OR 14 standard connections OR 14 refresh connections; the serial port may be used to connect to a client via serial cable or you may use the serial port to connect multiple Ez Send units, in the event you require more that 14 wireless connections.
StenoCast was founded by court reporters, with a goal of making products that enhance individual reporters and the profession as a whole, and we are determined to make the technology necessary to our profession accessible to each member.
